Wheel bearings have a different inner and outerĭiameter than the DC/EG/EK (and ITR) wheelīearings, which means the shaft of the hub The offset difference between the two hubs.īefore you do this, it's important to know why you have to do this. Presses Are Fun: Ultimately, you will need This is where the 5 lug conversion ceases to be a bolt-on procedure, but restĪssured, if done properly, your conversion That follows this conversion, the geometry One slightly, but ultimately, all the boltĪnd after the much needed wheel alignment Note: The geometry of the actual physical "Don't I HAVE to use the ITR springs/shocks and control arms?" NO! For the love of poo, just use your current springs, shocks and rear LCA's!įine! Please don't ask this question anymore! After comparing, the ITR rear upperĬontrol arms appeared to be the exact sameĭimensions as the DA one. If you can, make sure your 5 lug comes with Your stock brake lines on all four corners. Still questionable whether or not you can use The rear upper and lower control arms and theīrake lines are holding it onto the car. Is also another bolt that holds the compensatorĪrm to the chassis. If you look under your trailing arms on theĬar, there are two bolts underneath the arm Undo the cables and reattach to the new arms. When you switch over the trailing arms, just You will need some form of Integra cables. If you have an EF with drums in the rear, The e-brake cablesįrom the Type R are unnecessary if you haveĪ DA. Plus, I wanted more agressive spring rates.ITR wheels are 15圆 +50 offset, while GS-R I was tempted to buy some Koni Yellow shocks to replace the Tokicos, but the cost of the shocks alone was as much as buying the the matched Ksport set. I just received them last week and bought them to replace my GC w/ blown TokicoHP setup. Yes, the long-term reliability of Ksports are yet to be seen, but so far, after 2 years, the reviews are mostly positive.īTW, I haven’t installed my Ksports yet. And imo, if you plan on dropping less than that, might as well stick with a progressive-rate spring/shock combo. This becomes important if you plan on dropping your car more than 2.5". With the the Ksports, you lower your car by adjusting the perch on the shock body, not the spring, thus keeping the original suspension travel. With the GC’s, you lower your car by compressing the spring, which, in turn, reduces the suspension travel and increases the risk of bottoming out (which is why GC released the tophats). Plus, one thing I like about the Ksports vs GC/Koni is the way it handles height adjustment. The OP specifically stated he wanted something in the range of $500-600, which the Ksports meet. True, the GC/Koni setup is great and has been proven, but costs $1000+. Can’t go wrong with over-the-shelf Konis, Ground Control coilovers, and Ground Control top mounts.
